Occupy Charlotte's Anti-ALEC Fail
There's really not much to say about Occupy Charlotte's anti-ALEC protest. When I arrived, there were around 18 occupiers on site. I spoke with the group of police who were there. They had been there most of the day and said the number of protesters had varied slightly throughout the day, but that was about the most they had seen.
Occupy Charlotte's website noted the "[m]ost important times for a critical mass are 10am and 4pm." At 4 PM, there were twelve protesters present. A couple dozen people, at most; that's what you're left with when the bused-in, astroturf crowd that protested Bank of America two days earlier goes home.
