NC House Passes Cursive Writing, Multiplication Tables Bill
the North Carolina State House unanimously passed HB 146 (S243), which requires students to be taught cursive handwriting and to learn their multiplication tables. The bill passed 107-0 and now moves on to the Senate.
The Common Core Standards apparently do not include these two skills and Wake County Schools had seemingly abandoned them along with the Common Core implementation this past school year.
