Every Tweet from Gosnell: The Trial of America's Biggest Serial Killer
When 'Gosnell' premiered last fall, the movie was derided by critics as "a snoozer preaching to the anti-abortion choir" that made no "effort beyond telling them what they want to believe," an "amateurish movie" by producers with "an axe to grind" that "propagates multiple false myths that came out of the Kermit Gosnell saga." It was written off as pro-life hyperbole, a caricature of the actual events even as it cracked the top ten grossing films during its opening weekend.
For those familiar with the case--tried nearly six years ago in a Philadelphia courtroom--the material was all too familiar. The screenwriters lifted not just the transcripts of the court proceedings, but the public's reaction.
Each reaction featured in the film was a near verbatim copy of an actual tweet sent during the trial. Only the caption of J.D. Mullane's original photo had any substantive edits. View them for yourself below.
