The war isn't over until we bring everyone home. That was the message from Rolling Thunder as they waved American flags on an overpass above I-77 on the anniversary of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks.

Rolling Thunder began in 1988 when approximately 2,500 motorcyclists led by Artie Muller and Ray Manzo rode into Washington, DC to demand a full accounting of American prisoners of war and soldiers missing in action. After 25 years, the organization's annual memorial day ride has swelled to around a half a million riders according to the Washington Times.

I noticed them as I drove down the highway to Rock Hill that afternoon. Hours later, they were still there, solemnly waving their flags above the traffic. I pulled over to speak to one of their members. Here's what he had to say:
